The Shack Author Visits Tulsa

TULSA, OK -- A best-selling author visits Tulsa.  William Paul Young's book, The Shack, spent 43 weeks as the number one book on the New York Times Best Seller List.   

The Shack is story about a man who suffers a great tragedy and gets a letter inviting back to the scene four years later.  Through the process, the man has an experience with God.   

Young says he's an accidental author.

"Kim, my wife, asked me to write something for the kids, saying would you just put in one place how you think.  It's a little outside the box.  So, that was my goal to have it done by Christmas.  Didn't have the money to do it at Christmas, but a little afterwards I went down to Office Depot and made 15 copies.  That was the only intended run of The Shack," said William Paul Young.
