Double Shooting In Adair County

STILWELL, OK -- An early morning shooting in rural Adair County has sent two victims to an Arkansas hospital.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the shooting happened at a residence on New Piney Road near Stilwell at about 3 a.m.

OSBI spokesperson Jessica Brown says the two victims are identified as 27-year-old Justin Hardbarger and 25-year-old Jerod Neale. Both were flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Arkansas.

There is no word on their conditions.

Brown says the two victims had stopped their car, gotten out and were fighting each other when the elderly man fired his weapon.

She says a shooting suspect has been questioned but not arrested.  The OSBI is assisting the Adair County Sheriff's Office in the investigation.
