OHP: Speed A Factor In Fatal Sand Springs Accident

SAND SPRINGS, OK -- One man is dead after a rollover accident in Sand Springs overnight.

The accident happened about 1:30 a.m. Monday on state Highway 51 near state Highway 97. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say 41-year-old Tony Eason was speeding when he lost control of his pickup truck and crossed over to the westbound lanes.

Eason's pickup truck hit a sign, cut back across the eastbound lanes and rolled over.

OHP troopers say Eason was pronounced dead at the scene
