Defense Presents Its Side In Muskogee Co. Murder Case

MUSKOGEE, OK -- Jerry Raney is back in court Wednesday. The defense is presenting its side.

Raney is accused of killing his stepdaughter, Sara Smart, in January 2006.

On Monday Smart's mother, Laura Morris, took the stand.

Throughout the preliminary hearing, the defense has said no evidence has been presented that actually links Raney to the crime.

The judge will hear the defense's side Wednesday afternoon and then reconvene next week.
