Storm Damages Sand Springs Church

SAND SPRINGS, OK -- Monday night's fierce winds tore into a Sand Springs church.  A large hole was ripped in the roof and the rain poured in all night.

The youth pastor at Word of Life Fellowship says they lost pool tables, sound equipment, and keyboards worth thousands of dollars.

"I thought it was crazy. Water everywhere, things being damaged, and of course immediately I thought of our teenagers and the place that they worship God and where's our next step and where are we gonna go from here, and what's our next step," said Word of Life Fellowship Youth Pastor Tim Earnhardt.

Outside, a two-ton air conditioning unit that was once mounted on the roof is a heap of crumpled metal in the parking lot.

Pastor Earnhardt says insurance should cover the damage.
