Hearing Continues For Man Accused In Stepdaughter's Death

MUSKOGEE, OK -- A preliminary hearing underway in Muskogee County will continue on Wednesday.

Jerry Raney is accused of strangling his step-daughter, Sara Smart, in January of 2006.  The body of the 19 year old was found later that year stuffed into a barrel that had been thrown into a pond.

Testimony continued on Tuesday from Sara Smart's mother.

The defense says the prosecution has yet to provide any evidence that actually links Raney to the crime.
