UNDATED -- The National Transportation Safety Board released a preliminary report on a Tulsa plane crash that happened two weeks ago.
The aircraft ended up just off the runway. The airplane burned, but the two men on board escaped unhurt.

The NTSB determined the experienced pilot had not flown since 2001 and was flying with an instructor aboard. The report says that on the pilot's first landing attempt, in a newly purchased airplane, he landed too hard and ran off the runway, where the plane caught fire.
The final report, which would describe what caused the accident, generally takes several months to complete.
