TULSA, OK -- Many college kids head to the beach for spring break, but some Boston University students came to Tulsa instead.
The students are spending their spring break helping spruce-up Tulsa Public Schools. On Tuesday, they were painting the Street School, near 11th Street and South Yale. It's a school for students who would otherwise drop out for various reasons.
The volunteers have only been in town for a few days, but say they're having a blast.
"So far the past two days everyone has been having a fantastic time and I just hope that we continue to get to meet amazing people in Tulsa and get to experience the passion that so many people here have," said Alex Shuck from Boston University.
The Boston University students will be in Tulsa for the rest of the week before heading back home.
