BROKEN ARROW, OK -- The Broken Arrow Board of Education votes to appoint a superintendent. The board voted on Monday night to give the post to interim Superintendent Dr. Gary Gerber.
Gerber assumed the job on a interim basis after Dr. Jim Sisney was fired in October.
The board voted 3-2 in favor of the appointment with the proviso that Dr. Gerber not apply for the superintendent's position beyond June 30, 2010.
