TULSA, OK -- An investigation is underway after an officer with the Tulsa Police Department opened fire at a robbery suspect.

It started just after 8:00 Tuesday night when police say four men with guns walked into the Family Dollar store at 300 East Pine.

As officers arrived, police say the suspects ran to a car and drove off.

One man was left behind.

The suspects drove to a nearby neighborhood where they ditched the car and ran off.

That's when police say an officer fired at one of the suspects.

No one was hit and canine units helped find the men.

"After tracking him with our canine unit, we were able to find him a couple houses to the east of where he fled from, hiding under a vehicle. He was bitten by the canine unit and then taken into custody," said Capt. Ryan Perkins with the Tulsa Police Department.

All four men are in the Tulsa jail Wednesday morning.
