TULSA, OK -- Starting a new career has never been more apt than now. With so many lay-offs, many people are looking for a fresh start. Tulsa Community College has a new website that helps you discover which career fits you.
TCC has long promoted the career exploration program. In fact TCC student Jeff Coldiron met with his career advisor Diana Allen several times before deciding to pursue a biology associate's degree. He says the program helped to awaken his passion for the field.
Now a new website, Fastfowardtcc.com provides a very much abbreviated version of the career exploration program. You can do it all without stepping a foot on campus.
Just log on and complete a thirty question quiz and a list of possible career choices will appear.
Click any of the career options and a program description, an estimated salary, sample courses, and how it fits into the local economy.
"We're seeing a lot of people walking in the door and realizing they need to upgrade their skill or find a new skill or maybe they weren't even that satisfied with what they were doing and they see this as an opportunity to develop in other areas, " said Allen.
