TULSA, OK - A crash on the IDL created a spectacle for Tulsa commuters on Wednesday morning.  A semi loaded with lumber rolled over.  Boards covered the highway.  It happened on a sharp turn on the west leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop just before 8 a.m.

Brent and Marc Saska drove up on the accident and rushed to help the driver.  They were surprised to find he was alive.

"He was right where he needed to be to survive.  The rest of the cab was just scrubbed off," said Brent Saska.

The truck rolled over on the sharp turn from Highway 75 north to Highway 412 West.  Some 40 tons of 2 by 4's scattered down the highway, but didn't hit a single car.  The accident crushed the cab and trapped the driver inside.

"He was all the way back there.  He was just perfect in there.  It rolled perfect and put him right where he needed to be," said Marc Saska.

"There was no way he could have gotten out without help.  He was tangled up in his seat belts and they were just tight, holding him where he was at," added Brent Saska.

The cars behind the truck were able to stop just in time.  The lumber covered the ramp and closed off traffic for hours.  It took two giant wreckers to roll over the wreck and haul it away.

Even though the top of the truck was torn off in the accident, the driver was able to not only walk away, but salvage some of his belongings.

"We were thinking at least broken bones somewhere, the way he was folded up in there," said Marc Saska.

"I honestly thought when we got there we were doing to find something horrible and I'm just delighted that it turned out the way it did," said Brent Saska.

The trucking company tells The News On 6 their driver was unhurt, and able to catch a ride with another trucker back home to Shreveport.  He was driving the load of lumber from there to Yale, Oklahoma.
