TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a man overnight.
The accident happened Sunday night as the victim was walking near West Edison and Gilcrease Museum Road.
Police say the victim was hit not once but twice at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police say the victim was walking across the street when the first car hit him. That driver got out and tried to help the man who was still breathing at the time, and then another car hit him.
This time, the driver kept going, all while the victim was pinned underneath the car.
"Dragged him about 75 feet, probably killed him at that time, and then they left the scene. We're still trying to determine the ID of that driver and get some identifying factors on the vehicle," said Tulsa Police Captain Shawn King.
The victim was pronounced dead at a Tulsa hospital.
Police say the person who drove off could face charges. Witnesses tell police, the suspect was driving a 2007-09 Chevy Impala.
If you know anything about the hit run call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS or text tip 918 to CRIMES.
