Tulsa Bankers And Police Talk Robbery Issues

The Tulsa Police Department's robbery unit met with members of the Oklahoma Banking Association Thursday morning to discuss the rash of bank robberies in the city since January 1.

TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Police Department's robbery unit met with members of the Oklahoma Banking Association Thursday morning to discuss the rash of bank robberies in the city since January 1.

The meeting was at the Tulsa Police Department's training center and was held behind closed doors to discuss security issues.

Following the meeting, representatives from TPD and the Oklahoma Bankers Association talked with the media.

So far this year, Tulsa has seen 11 financial institution robberies.

As of Thursday, 4 robbery suspects have been taken into custody. A number of robbery suspects are still being sought by Tulsa Police and the FBI.
