LONE GROVE, OK -- Emergency crews have finished rescue and recovery efforts after Tuesday's killer tornado at Lone Grove.

There were reports earlier that a ninth person had died, but the Department of Emergency Management confirmed on Thursday night that the death toll stood at eight.  They say 14 others were seriously injured.

FEMA toured the devastation on Thursday.  They'll submit a report to Governor Henry who will then report to President Obama, asking for individual aid for storm victims.

As residents continued the seemingly impossible job of cleaning up, The News On 6 found one family still struggling to make sense of the tragedy.

"It's just kind of overwhelming, you know.  It was all the family.  We've lost a lot of memories and stuff, but thank God everybody's alright," said Tammy Graham of Lone Grove.

Lone Grove city leaders say 10 to 15 people are still unaccounted for, but it's believed they simply left the area.
