TULSA, OK -- Tulsa's Swift Water Rescue Crew found a new use for their boat on Wednesday. They say a 41-year-old woman was sledding when she hit a bump and hurt her back in McClure Park.
Because she was in a ravine, they weren't able to reach her with a truck. So, they improvised.
"It works pretty well with water, swift water rescues. You know, it stays right on top of the water; so why wouldn't it stay on top of the ice?" said Derek Sanders with the Tulsa Fire Department.
Firefighters say it worked well, providing a smooth ride back to the ambulance.
