TULSA, OK -- The winter blast is affecting flights at Tulsa International Airport. The airport reports American Airlines has cancelled all incoming flights for Monday night and will not fly out of Tulsa until 9:25 on Tuesday morning.
Alexis Higgins with TIA tells The News On 6 that the main runway and taxiways are clear for aircraft operations. While the airport is open, many airlines are canceling flights due to the freezing precipitation.
The weather is expected to impact flights Monday evening and Tuesday, causing delays for departures.
Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights before they leave for the airport by visiting www.tulsaairports.com. They may also check the airlines' websites or call their toll-free numbers for real time flight information.
