TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa family welcomed home a new member Saturday night.

The McClures recently adopted a little girl from Russia, and she traveled thousands of miles to her new home.

The family also has a son who has dwarfism. After his birth, they discovered how children born with the condition are treated in Russia.

"The children (with dwarfism) in Russia are put into institutions when they're 4 years old, and they're not ever seen by the public again," said Cyndi Hampton, the girl's aunt. "So it was heavy on their hearts to try to get somebody -- one of the children -- out, and they found Lena about 2 1/2 years ago and they've been working on getting her home ever since."

The McClures have spent thousands of dollars and taken many trips to Russia for their new daughter, but they say having her here is worth it.

After resting up, the family will get started showing the little girl everything her new country has to offer.
