Tulsa Student Delivers King Speech

A Tulsa student made her own mark on history on Friday.

TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa student made her own mark on history on Friday.

"I have a dream, that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal," recited Shakyila Flowers.

Shakyila Flowers gave her rendition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior's "I have a Dream" speech for ONEOK employees.

Flowers was selected from a number of area high school contestants to give that speech. The company says it chose Shakyila based on several criteria: including enunciation, delivery and stage presence.

Besides bragging rights, she also gets a medal and $200.
