NORMAN, Oklahoma -- University of Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford has announced he will not enter the NFL draft.
"After looking at the information and weighing the pros and cons and weighing both opportunities I have, I feel that it is in my best interest to come back to the University of Oklahoma for my junior season," said Bradford.
Bradford won the Heisman Trophy this season and led the Sooners to an appearance in the BCS National Championship.
"There's no need to cut this experience short when I'm really looking forward to coming back and competing for a fourth straight Big 12 Championship and another opportunity for a National Championship," said Bradford.
Bradford made the announcement during a news conference Wednesday afternoon.
"I did go back and forth several times, but I feel like this is where my heart is and this is where I want to be," said Bradford.
Earlier this week, defensive tackle Gerald McCoy says he plans to return for his junior season. He confirmed his decision at the sixth-ranked Sooners' basketball game against Texas on Monday night.
McCoy redshirted his first year at Oklahoma and was eligible to enter the NFL draft for the first time. He ranked second on the team with 6 1/2 sacks this season, but had been expected to return.
