Cherokee County Fire Victim's Condition Improves

A foster mother injured in a fatal house fire in Cherokee County nearly a month ago, is still in a Tulsa burn center.

TULSA, OK -- A foster mother injured in a fatal house fire in Cherokee County nearly a month ago, is still in a Tulsa burn center.

Health workers say Anna May Buzzard is now in good condition.

She got second degree burns to more than 50% of her body when she ran back inside her Cherokee County mobile home to rescue her two foster daughters.

She couldn't save them. They were 10 and 6-years-old.

Fire investigators say the fire started near a wood burning stove in the living room.
