TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa firefighters spent the New Year's Day cleaning up. Firefighters say vandals rammed the large glass doors at the back of Fire Station 32 early Thursday. They also tore up some sod in the lawn.
The damage is estimated at $50,000.
The station located at 6010 E. 91st Street, has been undergoing a major renovation project since August.
"We're hoping to take the pieces and parts off of the good components to maybe rebuild one of the three doors," said Mike Mallory with the Tulsa Fire Department.
The doors are custom built in Dallas. It'll take about a month and a half to get new ones. In the meantime, Tulsa's Public Works Department is building walls to block off the other doors.
