Mary Elizabeth Is Tulsa's New Year's Baby

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa gets its New Year's Baby.  A little girl is thought to be Tulsa's first baby born in 2009.  Mary Elizabeth Adams was born at Tulsa's OSU Medical Center at 12:03 New Year's morning.

Her parents say they were surprised, but excited.

"I'm overwhelmed, I'm excited.  I'm happy.  Just so many feelings and I'm still shocked, you know," said Samantha Blackmen.

Mary's parents say they're thrilled to have their healthy baby girl, and that her birthday is just an added plus.
