LOCUST GROVE, Okla. (AP) -- A Locust Grove man has died after a head-on collision in Mayes County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Michael Wayne Hooker was headed west on a two-lane road around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when an oncoming pickup truck crossed the center line and crashed into his pickup.
The OHP says Hooker's truck rolled onto the driver's side and he was pinned for about an hour before he was freed and pronounced dead.
According to the OHP, Hooker was not wearing his seat belt.
