TULSA, OK -- Three teens are in custody after an attempted robbery and shooting at a Tulsa apartment complex. It happened around midnight at the Alexis Apartments near 41st and 129th East Avenue.
Tulsa Police say the teens approached a man standing outside a vehicle in the parking lot. They tried to rob the man, but he fought back. That's when a woman inside the vehicle drove off.
The suspects then fired shots into the car, hitting the woman in the back. She was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
The man told police the suspects drove off in a gold Mercury Grand Marquis. A short time later, police stopped a car matching that description near 11th and Mingo. Police brought the robbery victim to the scene where he identified the car and its driver. That suspect was arrested.
Police questioned the other suspects and later took them into custody.
