OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- Finances are forcing some Oklahoma businesses to downsize Christmas. Many have canceled Christmas parties or at least scaled back.
Caterers say they're seeing the changes. Johnnie's Catering is preparing food for small buffets for office parties in place of elaborate celebrations.
"I've also seen more bookings in January than I normally have. I think again, budgets are back again in January they don't have in December. They're going to start the year on a good note," said Deb Lowery with Johnnie's Catering.
But, some workers didn't want to wait. They organized their own Christmas party at an Oklahoma City bar.
