OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- Some Oklahoma lawmakers are looking toward more stable sources of energy and they're not ruling out nuclear power.  The Speaker of the Oklahoma House toured a nuclear plant in Arkansas, and says it's worth looking into, even though some energy producers say it's not a good fit for Oklahoma.

"I know that nuclear doesn't play a role directly, but it does if we use natural gas for transportation, for vehicles, we're going to be looking at other sources for power generation," said Representative Chris Benge.

On Friday, a state legislator from Oklahoma City announced plans to refile legislation that would streamline regulations for building nuclear power plants.  Representative Mike Reynolds says it's safer and cheaper than ever.
