Glenpool Football Team Paints Mayor's Hair

GLENPOOL, OK -- Glenpool Mayor Shayne Buchanan is following through on a promise he made to the Warrior football team.

Earlier this year, Mayor Buchanan promised the team if they won the class 4A State Championship, he would let them spray paint his hair blue.

The Glenpool Warriors became the 4A Football State Champions on December 5th when they defeated Oklahoma City's Bishop McGuiness 27-17.

The football team spray painted Mayor Buchanan's hair during the Glenpool Council meeting Monday night.

Also during the meeting, the council proclaimed December 16th as Glenpool Warrior Day and presented Coach Steve Edwards a plaque in recognition.
