TULSA, OK -- Riders galloped into Expo Square at the Tulsa County Fairgrounds Wednesday morning for the Mid Winter Classic.
Riders are showing off their skills, jumping a number of obstacles -- some five feet high.
They're competing against some 250 other horses from around the country. The top prize is worth $25,000.
It's free to watch any of the competitions except the Grand Prix of Tulsa Saturday night. But, organizers are asking for your help to make our community safer.
"We're asking for a $5 donation at the door. That all goes to the Crime Commission to help them raise some money," said Patrick Rodes, event manager.
Proceeds from Saturday's Grand Prix of Tulsa will benefit the Crime Stoppers program.
