Fire Closes I-35 Near Edmond

Interstate 35 north of Edmond was shut down for at least an hour Monday afternoon because of a large grass fire.

EDMOND, Okla. (AP) -- Interstate 35 north of Edmond was shut down for at least an hour Monday afternoon because of a large grass fire.

The fire burned in a wooded area near the interstate and Charter Oak Road.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol closed the highway between Waterloo and Charter Oak roads near the Logan-Oklahoma County line.
