HARDESTY, OK -- A 19-year-old man from Hardesty has died after his pickup ran off a rural Texas County road.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Justin Shelton was driving his pickup about 5.9 miles south of Hardesty when the accident occurred about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Troopers say that after Shelton's pickup ran off the road, it hit a bridge embankment and continued along the railing before falling from the bridge. The pickup came to rest on its top in a dry creekbed.
Shelton was pinned in the wreckage for about two hours. He died at the scene.
