LOS ANGELES (AP) - Santa Barbara County has issued an evacuation order for burned areas at risk of mudslides and flooding.
The county and Santa Barbara city officials issued a joint order Tuesday as storms threatened much of Southern California.
A Red Cross shelter has been set up at Santa Barbara High School, and officials are advising that residents leave their homes immediately.
Many residents living near wildfire burn areas have sandbagged their homes as the storm moved in. Weather officials say the storm could bring an inch of rain through Thanksgiving and up to 4 inches in the mountains.
