TULSA, OK -- Mothers Against Drunk Driving is encouraging everyone to be safe on the roads this holiday season. The group launched its Tie One On for Safety Campaign on Tuesday.
They are asking drivers to tie a red ribbon to a visible spot on their vehicle as a pledge to drive safe and sober and wear seatbelts.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a terrorist within the borders of our nation and his initials are DUI. It is time we stand up, take a stand, and do something about it," said Dwayne Stephens.
It's something Stephens knows about all too well. His daughter, who was six months pregnant, had been in an accident and was trying to flag down help when she was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver last year.
