TULSA, OK -- A Medal of Honor recipient got an extra honor on Monday.
The center terminal of Tulsa International Airport was renamed the PFC Albert E. Schwab Hall.
Schwab died in 1945, during a mission on Okinawa.
President Truman awarded the Medal of Honor to Schwab's son the next year. The decision was made to dedicate the portion of the airport to him because so many service members and their families pass through there.
"I'm in awe. This is such a special occasion. He's been honored so much, but this one, I never expected something like this," said JoAnn Berry, Schwab's sister.
Berry says when her brother left for war, her father told him not be a hero out there.
