TULSA, OK -- The latest Oklahoma Poll with the Tulsa World shows many Oklahomans aren't happy with the bailout bill as it is. We surveyed 350 people across the state.
Fifty-four percent say they disapprove of the $750 billion plan to save the economy, 36% say they approve of the government's action.
Oklahomans blame all institutions evenly for the mess, Congress, the Bush administration, mortgage brokers and Wall Street bankers.
Only four percent of those we surveyed blame individuals who defaulted on their home loans.
And we have faith in our local financial institutions. Sixty-one percent say they think their money is very safe. Only four percent believe it's not safe.
