TULSA, OK -- An overturned tractor trailer shut down a portion of the IDL in downtown Tulsa for over 5 hours on Friday.
The truck loaded with liquid ink overturned in the westbound lanes of the I-244 shortly before 8 a.m.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says all lanes of westbound I-244 were closed on the NW corner of the Inner-Dispersal Loop due to the overturned semi-truck.
There were no report of any injuries from the accident, but because of the cleanup, the roadway had to be closed down for safety of those cleaning up the mess.
Tulsa Fire and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation had crews on the scene shortly after the accident in an effort to contain the ink.
