TULSA, OK -- After Donna Hudgins rescued her little dog Pugzi from a shelter, the two became inseparable.
"When I go to the store, she actually cries real tears," Donna says. "And if she's not with me, she's with someone in the family."
But not too long ago, Pugzi slipped out of the front door. She was a little lost dog in a great big world. Donna went into a panic.
"My boys were on their bikes, the whole neighborhood was involved hollering and looking for this little black dog," explained Ric Hudgins.
With night falling, the little black dog was nearing traffic on busy Mingo road. But, like cats, Pugzi apparently has nine lives. Union cheerleader Rachel Hunter found Pugzi and took her to safety.
Later, Ric Hudgins spotted Rachel walking Pugzi as she was putting up 'Found' signs. Talk about a happy reunion... Rachel returned Pugzi to Donna and wouldn't accept the Hudgins' fifty dollar reward.
"She's my hero," remarked Donna. "She really is!"
