MUSKOGEE, OK -- The Haunted Castle Festival is attracting huge crowds from across Green Country. It's not just teenagers looking for a good scare. Parents and children are getting into the Halloween spirit too.
The event is quite a production. Organizers are going all out. They're putting in long hours and have more than 200 actors and volunteers working to make the event fun for everyone.
Kids can enjoy games, face painting and treats at Halloween Land. There is also an enchanted boardwalk with more than 150 Halloween inflatables to see.
Organizers say the majority of people will come to get scared. The Haunted Castle Festival has a haunted maze, a walk in the woods and two haunted houses.
The sets in the haunted houses are creepy and unbelievable because of all the detail that goes into them.
There's so much to see everywhere you look. And when you least expect it, an actor's going to jump out and give you a good scare.
Organizers say they're making sure there's never a dull moment.
"We try to create something that you wouldn't necessarily see in a normal situation and we have created some things in certain areas where people are like, ‘how did they do that?' or ‘why did they do that?,'" said Matt Hiller with The Castle.
