Fatality Accident On Turnpike

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a fatality accident on the Turner Turnpike.

STROUD, OK -- A deadly car crash Tuesday afternoon on the Turner Turnpike near Stroud claimed one person. The accident happened in a construction zone.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 68-year-old Almita Davidson, from Tulsa, was speeding, when her car hit an ODOT truck. The truck's crew was painting lines as part of a construction project.

The crash killed Davidson.

One of the construction workers, and Davidson's husband Harvey, were both taken to an Oklahoma City hospital. Both are in fair condition.

The accident forced troopers to reroute traffic until the area was cleared.
