Welcoming Home Returning Soldiers

Returning soldiers are invited to attend a Welcome Home ‘American Hero' celebration this Saturday.

TULSA, OK -- Men and women who have served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, and their families, are invited to attend a Welcome Home ‘American Hero' celebration.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday at Tulsa Community College's Metro campus.

Veterans will have the opportunity during the special event to learn more about Veteran Affairs health care eligibility and other VA benefits including those for spouses and family members of veterans. Several community and veterans organizations will also provide educational resources.

Guests are also invited to tour TCC's new Veterans Resource Center and Lounge, an office area dedicated to serving veterans and provide support to veterans who use their educational benefits at TCC.

In addition, there will be children's programs and activities, entertainment, free food and giveaways for families of returning veterans.

TCC's Metro Campus is located at 909 South Boston.
