PRYOR, OK -- Heavy fog across portions of eastern Oklahoma and southwestern Missouri caused several traffic accidents Wednesday morning.

SKYNEWS 6 flew over the accident scene as OHP troopers continued to investigate.
Troopers say as many as 12 vehicles were involved in the accident and at least one person was injured.
Troopers say visibility at the time of the accident was down to 40 feet.
Farther east and north, the Missouri Highway Patrol shut down I-44 just across the state line because of fog and a major traffic accident.
