BROKEN ARROW, OK -- Some early Saturday morning storms caused damage to a convenience store. The QuikTrip in the 2600 block of North Aspen in Broken Arrow was struck by lightning.

Employees at the store were able to hit the gas cut-off switch, saving the station from further damage. The awning over the gas pumps was burned and knocked off by the lightning bolt. Firefighters were on scene worked to reattach it.

No one was hurt by the 5 a.m. strike.
