TULSA, OK -- The University of Tulsa kicked off its homecoming celebration with the ribbon cutting at its new south entrance.  The new entrance, just off 11th Street, ends a three year, multi-million dollar renovation project at the school.

"We've worked for probably eight years on a master plan to get to this point.  Acquiring property, developing it.  Building student housing, which surrounds the new commons area, the fountain.  So, it's been a labor of love for a lot of people," said University of Tulsa President Steadman Upham.

Thursday night, TU will celebrate homecoming with a bonfire and fireworks show.
