Embezzlement Case Could Grow

MUSKOGEE, OK -- A former Muskogee County employee accused of embezzlement may have taken more money than first suspected.

The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office originally thought Jackie Borovetz stole $340,000 by under-reporting how much money her office collected, then pocketing the extra cash.  But now, after further investigation, that amount may be closer to $600,000.

If convicted, Borovetz could face up to 10 years in prison and more than a million dollars in fines.
