TULSA, OK -- Firefighters were called shortly before 10:00 Monday night to the Harley Hollan company at 5707 S. 107 East Ave. Investigators have determined the fire started as a result of hot metal debris from cutting torch operations.
The material smoldered inside the building until it caused combustible material to ignite.
Fire and heavy smoke poured from the facility.
The two-story metal building is home to a variety of services related to the construction industry.
The heaviest fire damage was in the area of the workshop. The shop area contained welding and oxy/acetylene cutting equipment that created a risk to fire personnel.
Fire crews were able to protect the office area of the building and limit the loss of computer equipment and business records.
The building was empty at the time of the fire. No one was injured.
The owner says the loss will be in excess of $1 million.
