TULSA, OK -- Thousands of cancer survivors put on their running shoes and pink shirts for the Komen Race for the Cure.
SkyNews 6 captured some of the action from high above as the runners hit the pavement on Saturday.
More than 11,500 people registered for the race. Six In The Morning anchor LeAnne Taylor was there showing her support. She is the president of the Tulsa chapter for the Komen Foundation.
"Every race like this is encouraging women like me who are survivors. Women who have children, grandchildren. We ultimately want to find a cure. And, the more people we get out, the more money we raise, the quicker we'll reach that goal," said LeAnne Taylor.
The race this year raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer research.
