CHANDLER, Okla. -- A convict who escaped from the Lincoln County Jail on Monday has been taken into custody in Chandler.
Michael Washburn, 28, escaped from the Lincoln County Jail on Monday during a meeting with his attorney. Washburn was recently sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting with intent to kill.
He was taken into custody at about 10 a.m. Tuesday after a manhunt and police standoff.
This search began Monday around noon. Authorities thought Washburn is hiding somewhere in a Chandler residential neighborhood called "The Bottoms."
The area was placed on lockdown and authorities surrounded the area.
Washburn was previously convicted on drug charges.
