Teacher Honored By Blue Bell

TULSA, OK -- Oklahoma will name its 2008 Teacher of the Year at the State Fair on Tuesday.

On Monday, Blue Bell Ice Cream honored a local finalist for the award. The ice cream company provided frozen treats for Cedar Ridge Elementary in Tulsa.

Third grade teacher Betsy Glad is one of the 12 Oklahoma teachers up for the award, and she admits she's a little nervous.

"I am nervous; it's a big honor tomorrow. But you know one way or another just the fact that I made it to the 12 finalists, I'm happy with that," said Glad.

Blue Bell Creameries honors finalists for the award every year.
