School Shuffle By Some Students

Scores of Tulsa students choose to change where they get an education.  Under No Child Left Behind rules, students can transfer out of low-performing schools.

Six of the nine TPS high schools are on the federal needs improvement list.  So far, 60 students from those high schools have left.  Half will now go to Memorial.  The other half will go to Edison.

Also, 62 middle school students have requested transfers.  They're split between eight TPS schools.  Only one elementary student asked to be transferred.
