Business Fire Under Investigation

Sand Springs firefighters were called to a fire and possible explosion at the Yafee Metals Company overnight.

Fire crews arrived to find the machinery and equipment in the back of the facility in the 7400 block of West Charles Page Boulevard in flames.   

By using foam, firefighters managed to quickly put out the blaze. 

Fire officials say some of the scrap metal was combustible and that made it difficult to fight the fire. 

A security guard was the only person at the scene, he was not hurt. 

There is no word on the cost of damages.  Sand Springs Fire officials will try and determine exactly what sparked that fire.
